Privacy Policy

What I collect

• Booking info: name, email, phone, session date / location preferences, and any notes you provide.
• Account info (course buyers): email and password (or Google / Apple sign-in identifier). Stored by Clerk, our authentication provider.
• Payment info: processed by Stripe. I never see or store your card number. I see only the receipt summary (amount, last four digits, email).
• Photographs: images of you taken during sessions you book. Treated under the model release and terms.
• Site analytics: Google Analytics 4 collects pageviews, session duration, traffic sources, and basic device / location info. Microsoft Clarity records anonymized session playback and heatmap data to help me see how visitors use the site. Both set cookies. Clarity automatically masks form inputs and sensitive text — typed values are not captured in recordings.

How I use it

• Schedule and run the photography session you booked.
• Deliver edited photos and any course materials you purchased.
• Send necessary follow-up emails (delivery, scheduling, receipts). I'll only add you to a marketing list if you opt in.
• Showcase work in my portfolio or social media, subject to the model release terms. You can opt out at any time by emailing me.

Who I share it with

I share data only with the services needed to run this site and deliver sessions:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Clerk — user accounts and login
• Cloudflare — site hosting and video storage
• Resend — transactional email (if used; never marketing without your consent)
• Google Analytics 4 — anonymized site usage stats (pageviews, sessions, traffic sources)
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session recordings and heatmaps; form fields are masked

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for three purposes:

• Essential: keep you logged in (Clerk session cookie) and remember course access purchases.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 sets `_ga`, `_gid`, and similar cookies to measure site usage. Microsoft Clarity sets cookies to stitch sessions together for recordings.
• No advertising cookies.I don't run ads on this site and don't set cookies for cross-site tracking by ad networks.

You can block analytics cookies via your browser settings, an ad blocker, or browser-level Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control preferences — the site works without them.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

• See what information I have about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your account and personal data (within legal retention limits).
• Stop using your photographs for promotion. Already-printed materials or social posts may take time to remove but will be addressed.

Data retention

I keep booking records for 7 years (for accounting and warranty purposes), and session photo originals indefinitely unless you ask me to delete them. Stripe and Clerk keep their own records per their respective policies.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. Account creation requires age 13+. Photography of minors is done with parental consent under the standard model release.

Changes to this policy

I'll update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will also be communicated by email to anyone with a course account.
